What's a Bose VideoWave?

The new trick in Surround Sound

is the Bose VideoWave 42-inch

LCD HDTV with a 16 speaker

system that answers the lack of

bass-tones that current TVs don't

provide due to the inability to

resolve shaking and blurred and

damaged pixals.Bose has solved

this with only adding a couple

of inches to the TVs thickness.

Bose acheives this by:

Subwoofer Design:

Six 2.5-inch woofers

with 3-times the push

of other speakers the

same size.they're arranged

in two rows opposing

each other shaking the

floor and not the screen.

The bass enclosures were

engineered with funnels

that direct the vibration

and sound-effect safely

through the bottom.

Surround Technology:

The midrange synchronized

sound comes from 7 speakers

located on the top of the set

providing location of sound

effect.

Two 1-inch speakers in the

top two corners provide

background sound.

A tweeter at the bottom of

the set offers high-range

effects directly through the

front.

The VideoWave system removes

home theater complication by putting

everything in one place. This TV

offers a 1080p 120Hz picture,but

does not offer LED backlighting

or 3-D and is priced at $5,350...

I like this. I'll link to it from my hub on different TV types. It's true that flatscreen TVs have a thin sound, if using the onboard speaker system.

Thanks for reading,Electro-Denizen,if you're like me,space is a premium at my house, and in a year or two Bose will up the features such as 3-D and LED backlighting;)

When I was growing up, Bose was the sound! They were progressive. Personally, I could never afford it, but I loved listening to it at my friends who could. :D

Bose seems to have it's share of coolaid drinkers, lol, but back in the day they had some cool car speakers I almost bought and their noise-cancelling headphones seem interesting, though I don't feel the need to pay for that specific feature...and for people who need to save space or need simplicity in their lives this tv and the bose wave radios might be just the thing, thanks for reading;)

hubpageswriter 17 months ago

Everything's just so advanced now. I remember the "mad rush" for flat screen TVs and many flock to buy like mushrooms on pancakes. This is another amazing hub from you M.A and keep the technology review coming. By the way, I'm into Bofe. Cool.=)

Mentalist acer 17 months ago

I'd kinda like to check out those headphones, thanks for reading hubpageswriter;)

Mentalist acer 16 months ago

If you need to save space without speakers and possibly wires all over the place, this HDTV might be worth it*.;)

Mentalist acer 16 months ago

Thanks for the read Pheonix...a year wait might be in order for extra features and mabey a price drop...it's not easy getting a leg up on you, your informative hubs are pretty forward thinking;)

Micky Dee 16 months ago

That would have been nice for Christmas. It's just too bad that I've been bad all last year.

Mentalist acer 16 months ago

Lol,there's always"Bad Santa".;)

Bose has a way with sound that every other manufacturer simply does not get. Good review

Mentalist acer 16 months ago

Thanks Neil.;)

tonymac04 16 months ago

Great review of what sounds like a great product. Way, way above my ability to pay. In South African terms that would be about R40000 plus - a year's pay to many people!

Thanks for sharing. I will try to go see one at a distributer and drool! LOL!

Love and peace

Tony

I've looked at the technology involved in Bose's claim to fame and is understandible as to a better sound, but not at the price, channeling sound through a tube(soundwave technology)sounds kinda low-tech to me...I guess I'm missing something, thanks for reading Tony...this hub is for the coolaid drinkers, lol.;)

patdmania 15 months ago

I think i have heard this before at Pauls TV's. They had me listen to the tv and i was blown away by the sound. I already have a surround sound system so i had to pass on that TV.

Mentalist acer 15 months ago

When the time to upgrade comes, this Bose TV might be sold at a reasonable price with more choices, thanks for the vist patmania.;)

mrpopo 13 months ago

Bose is just AWESOME! Too bad I can't afford it...

Mentalist acer 12 months ago

:-((Too bad mrpopo....there's other HDTVs comming out with surround sound built in,but it probably wouldn't be as good, thanks for reading.;)
